One of the most commonly asked questions is about tipping. While tipping is not required, it is customary if you feel your guides have worked hard and provided you with a wonderful experience. Any amount is certainly appreciated, and a gratuity of 10% is customary for all multi-day trips. 1/2 and Full Day gratuities range from $20.00 to $50.00+ per guide. For multi-day trips on which a crew of several guides have worked, your gratuity can be given to any of the guides and they will pool and share all tips equally.

We are dog lovers at the Whitebird Summit Lodge and welcome your little furry friends. We realize that some vacations are not complete without the furry members of your family. Whitebird Summit Lodge is a wonderful place for a pet with its extensive grounds and rooms with private entrances. We have two ponds at Whitebird Summit lodge and have had our puppies find their way in. We prefer the dogs not to be in the ponds, as they are lined with rubber and thier paws could puncture the lining.
Very well-behaved pets are welcome with responsible parents/owners.We do not accept more than 1 dog per night at the lodge. Dogs must be on leashes at all times at Whitebird Summit Lodge. We do ask that you not leave your dog loose and/or unattended in the suite while you are out for the day. Pets may be left unattended only if crated. Unattended dogs make it difficult for housekeeping and staff. We expect that dogs will not disturb other guests by barking or whining.
Poop scooping is required.Owners are responsible in FULL for any damages. *(Examples: Chewing of furniture/architectural structures, ruining of carpets by mud/soiling/ or chewing, destroying of linens or towels. Innkeepers will make all damage assessments.)We will supply bowls for food and water.Whitebird Summit Lodge will supply towels for our furry friend’s paws. If our bathroom towels are used, there will be additional charges incurred. ($15.00 per towel). To avoid charges, please just notify a staff member that more towels are needed and we would be happy to assist.Wet feet and coats must be wiped before entry into the suite.Pets must be clean and treated for fleas and ticks. We ask you to bring your pet's favorite bedding. If your dog takes an unexpected swim in the pond, don’t worry, we would be happy to show you where the hose is if you need it! If your dog is not well-behaved or if he/she disturbs other guests by barking, the inn does have the right to ask the owners to kennel their dog or leave. No refunds will be offered.
